Anyone familiar with the storied history of the Kentucky Wildcat football program is surely familiar with their iconic use of the checkerboard pattern as a distinct – oh that’s right, that’s Tennessee.
Nike inexplicably janked Tennessee’s traditional design as part of UK’s new football uniforms, unveiled today. As much as a series currently boasting a 26-game win streak can be considered a “rivalry,” UK’s pettiness is to be commended, or in the prism of Wildcat fans, this is probably return fire for Tennessee exposing the world to Bruce Pearl.
