And Then There Were Three

Tuesday, I wrote -- with the usual love in my heart -- about the five starting pitchers going for their first wins of the season.

Well, two of them got it. Baltimore's Chris Jakubauskas pitched five scoreless innings to beat the A's, and Tampa Bay's Alex Cobb pitched into the seventh to beat the Angels.

Kansas City's Vin Mazzaro got hammered by the Jays (but lowered his ERA to 17.47!)  and Doug Davis is now 0-5 after getting knocked out by the Reds in the fifth inning. Florida's Brad Hand gave up just one run in his MLB debut, but Atlanta's Tommy Hanson was even better.
