One of the most respected names in the NFL Draft has weighed in on Iowa State offensive tackle Kelechi Osemele.
Unlike others, GIl Brandt doesn't consider Osemele a first-round player. Instead, Brandt said the powerful yet agile Iowa State senior has a chance to be picked in the second round.
"He's got long arms and looks to have pretty good feet," Brandt told the Des Moines Register.
Brandt has been the personnel guru for NFL.com the past eight seasons. From 1960-89, Brandt was vice president of player personnel for the Dallas Cowboys. So when Brandt has something to say, it's worth paying attention to.
Osemele is currently rated as the 47th best overall player in my top 200 ratings. He would be higher but the left tackle projects more as a guard. He moves around well, but not on a consistent basis.
As noted in his prospect notes, Osemele needs to also work on his technique.
