Sidney Rice Agrees To Five-Year Deal With Seahawks, According To Report

Former Minnesota Vikings WR Sidney Rice will be staying in the NFC. According to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com, Rice and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a five-year contract. The Seahawks, Vikings and St. Louis Rams were believed to be among those in the running for Rice's services.

Rice will reportedly get a maximum of $41 million with $18.5 million guaranteed. That eight-million-per-year average is the going rate on the open market for a receiver like Rice.

He'll join a Seahawks free agent class that, as of now, includes former No. 2 overall pick G Robert Gallery and QB Tarvaris Jackson

Rice can't consummate the deal until Friday night at 6:00 p.m. (ET) when teams are allowed to actually sign free agents but, according to Glazer, they have a deal in place.
