Right tackle Willie Colon has agreed to remain a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, reports Jason La Canfora. According to the report, he'll sign a five-year, $29 million contract on Friday.
The 28-year-old Colon has played four NFL seasons, missing 2010 due to an Achilles tendon injury, which he sustained in preseason. Before that, he'd started every game three years running after dueling for the job with Max Starks in 2006.
Colon is known as a solid blocker, and clearly the Steelers are confident he's rebounded from a serious injury. He's still got a lot of career left to go, assuming he's healthy. Yes, he's wearing a Michigan State jersey in the only good photo we have of him. It's a long story.
