Free agent cornerback Al Harris has signed with the St, Louis Rams, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Terms of the deal have yet to be released.
Harris, 36, is nearly two years removed from a devastating right knee injury. He returned to the Packers in 2010, but was cut by the team during the season while on the physically-unable-to-perform list. He signed with the Miami Dolphins and played in three November games before he was placed on injured reserve. Despite not having played for the Packers at all during the 2010 season, the club decided to provide him with a Super Bowl XLV ring.
At this point in his career, Harris is serviceable as a reserve cornerback. Turf Show Times, our Rams blog, believes Harris is the physical cornerback head coach Steve Spagnuolo likes. He should turn into the slot corner for the Rams.
