West Brom Vs. Manchester United: Jonny Evans Replaces Injured Nemanja Vidic

Manchester United have not been able to push ahead of West Brom, instead being stuck in a 1-1 draw. Now they will have to find a way ahead without their captain Nemanja Vidic, who has been removed in the 52nd minute because of an injury. Jonny Evans is in for the central defender in a major blow to the Red Devils. The injury doesn't appear to be overly serious, but any injury to the man who has been their best player for a couple years is a scare to United.

It looked like Vidic might come off just 20 minutes into the match. He came up with a bit of a limp and Evans got off the bench quickly to warm up. He warmed up quickly, leading many to believe that he could be coming on at any moment, but Vidic stayed in and Evans sat back down. Finally after being asked to chase a loose ball down and clear it away, Vidic looked to the sideline and asked to come off.

It was not clear exactly what Vidic injured. He was limping as he came off, but he didn't hold any part of his body to give the location of the injury away. His playing a half hour since the injury was first evident and coming back out after halftime would indicate that the injury is not very serious, but that is nothing more than speculation.
