As rumors swirl that the New England Patriots could end up cutting WR Chad Ochocinco, a report came out Sunday that the Pats are working out his former Cincinnati Bengals teammate.
Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh will visit the Patriots on Monday.
10-year veteran Houshmandzadeh has 616 career receptions for 7,091 yards and 43 touchdowns. After spending most of his career with the Bengals, alongside Ochocinco, he played briefly for the Seattle Seahawks and recently for the Baltimore Ravens in 2010.
It's noted by most that T.J.'s best days are long behind him. However, perhaps it's all part of the plan to motivate Ochocinco.
The Patriots are also bringing safety Darren Sharper in for a workout. The Patriots are either extremely concerned about their wide receiver and safety spots or they're trying to find every single reclamation project they possibly can.
