Vikings Vs. Titans, QB Watch: Donovan McNabb, Christian Ponder, Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker

The Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings met on Thursday night in a game with multiple story lines, and almost all of them involving quarterbacks. There was QB Donovan McNabb's first game with the Vikings since the Washington Redskins traded him several weeks ago. There was QB Matt Hasselbeck's first game with the Titans since signing with them in free agency earlier this month. Then there were the rookie quarterbacks -- QB Christian Ponder and QB Jake Locker.

A night of quarterbacks and, for the most part, all of them played well -- or at least they didn't totally blow it.

McNabb completed four of his first five passes and finished 6-of-11 for 40 yards. He played just two series' before exiting the game. QB Joe Webb came in after McNabb and played the second and third quarter before Ponder came in with about eight minutes left. He completed 8-of-13 passes for 84 yards.

Hasselbeck's first game with the Titans went pretty well overall. He completed five of his six passes and looked sharp before a botched handoff turned into a huge loss. Other than that, Hasselbeck looked solid in his Titans debut. Locker looked really strong including one play that folks will remember. He fumbled the snap, picked it up and rolled to his right hitting WR Yamon Figurs for a 45-yard touchdown. Locker finished 7-of-10 for 89 yards.

It was a night for quarterbacks and, surprisingly, none of them played terrible. That's always a concern with rookie quarterbacks in the preseason, especially in a year like this where this where they first practiced with the team just two weeks ago.
