The Cleveland Browns may have lost to the Detroit Lions, 30-28, on Friday night, but the result of the game was far from the story. Instead, second-year quarterback Colt McCoy put on a show as the Browns starter, throwing for three touchdowns in the first half as Cleveland took a 21-16 lead into the break. McCoy was excellent at the helm, and may be solidifying his role as the starter.
The Lions came back from the halftime deficit, scoring 17 unanswered points to secure the two point win. Matthew Stafford threw for 85 yards and a touchdown before giving way to Drew Stanton, who threw for 80 yards and two scores. Ian Johnson rushed for 34 yards on seven carries and Matt Stovall caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.
In other Cleveland quarterback news, Seneca Wallace completed six of eight passes for 40 yards, with Jarrett Brown finishing the game missing on all four of his attempts. Armond Smith rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on six carries to lead all running backs. Evan Moore led the Browns' receivers with three catches for 40 yards and two scores.
