As the investigation into Jordan Jefferson's weekend continues, Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman Sergeant Don Stone told Randy Rosetta of TigerSportsDigest.com that warrants could be issued within the next week or two. According to Stone, charges have been filed and the investigation will continue with or without the cooperation of the LSU Tigers football players in question.
Jefferson, along with teammates Chris Davenport, Josh Johns and Jarvis Landry, had planned to meet with the department Monday morning, but that interview was indefinitely postponed thanks to their lawyer.
Stone was mighty specific about the fates that likely await the Tigers players suspected of partaking in some sort of a brawl at a local bar over the weekend. When a police spokesman details the placing of arrested suspects in a "Parish prison," you're fully aware nobody's playing around here.
