So he was serious. According to a report from Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Tiki Barber worked out with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday. It was revealed in March that Barber had filed for reinstatement into the NFL, much to the surprise of, well, everybody.
From Glazer's report, Barber supposedly looked pretty good. Still, if the Dolphins signed Barber it would fly in the face of their apparent efforts to supplant fresh legs into their offensive backfield. The team has let go of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, both 29 and 34 respectively while signing rookie Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush, 23 and 26 years old. Barber turned 36 in April.
In any case, it will be an interesting story to follow into the season. Still, considering the fact that we need to discuss whether or not Plaxico Burress can reintegrate himself back into the league after two years away from the game, it's unlikely we will see Barber make a significant impact any time soon.
