Good or Bad the Spotlight is on Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck might be the most hyped NFL prospect in recent memory.  I would argue that he is receiving as much hype as LeBron James got while playing in high school.  The attention on Luck is deserved because he is an extremely talented player with a ton of potential.

Luck is not only a talented player but also plays a position that might be the most important in all of sports.  This season will be filled with pressure and expectations as Luck tries to live up to the hype.  He will not only be judged by his on the field play but also the way he handles the pressure.  It might have been easier for Luck to enter the NFL draft this year rather than going through all this scrutiny.  However, if he is going to live up to the expectations he will need to handle the spotlight.

I fully expect Luck to receive some undo criticism this season as the popular thing seems to be going against the grain.  There will be plenty of analysts and writers looking to find any flaw in his game and criticizing every mistake.  Unfortunately for Luck, NFL teams will be doing the same thing as the more game tape available the easier it is to find flaws.

The spotlight is on Andrew Luck and he needs to remain poised in order to cash in on this talents.  However, Luck has done nothing but impress and handle every situation with class.  There is little doubt this young man will be able to handle the pressure.
