Tiger Woods' return to competitive golf has not been embarrassing or even poor by any stretch of the imagination, but it's clear that Tiger is going to have to get quite a few more rounds of competitive golf under his belt before he's anywhere near the old Tiger. He was a respectable one-under par through two rounds, seven back of the leaders, and he's not climbing the leaderboard on Sunday at Firestone.
Woods is now one-over on the day and even par for the tournament through nine holes, with his most recent bogey coming on the eighth. However, he did drain a 20-foot birdie putt on nine, so the worst might be behind Woods. He's now eight behind Keegan Bradley, Ryan Moore, Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler, who are in a four-way tie for the lead. Jason Day, Martin Laird and Robert Karlsson are just behind them at seven-under. Luke Donald is making a serious charge up the leaderboard this morning, shooting three-under through six holes to take him to six-under for the tournament.
