The Red Flag Alert will focus on NFL prospects that have situations that might raise concerns. These could be injury issues, character problems, runs in with the law, or anything that might impact their future. One thing to keep in mind with the Red Flag Alert is that some of the accusations will be just rumors but the majority of our reports will come from reliable sources. Don't expect to see a report about a rumor about a former college roommate or something to that affect. However, the fact remains that every rumor or issue could impact a players draft stock.
Last season, Greg Childs suffered a season ending ACL tear and it appears he still isn't 100%. Childs wasn't known for his great speed and it is likely that this injury will impact that part of his game. ACL injuries are very common and in most cases the player returns to nearly same level as before the injury. However, from time to time the player returns a step or two slower which really impacts play on the field.
Coach Bobby Petrino recently commented that Childs doesn't appear to be at full speed. However, he is confident the star receiver will be able to contribute early in the season. But there is definately a bit of a red flag present and Childs needs to show he can get back to full speed before the end of the season.
