MLB TV Schedule, 9/16: Rays/Red Sox, Phillies/Cardinals

Important games are all over the schedule tonight! All times Eastern.

7 p.m., MLB Network, NESN, SUN Sports: Rays at Red Sox. The Rays did what they needed to do Thursday night. It will be tougher tonight; Josh Beckett returns for Boston. He'll face the Rays' James Shields. Some MLBN viewers will see Yankees/Blue Jays.

7 p.m., FSN Midwest, CSN Philadelphia: Cardinals at Phillies. A Philadelphia win and a loss by the Braves would clinch the NL East for the Phillies. On the other hand, that same Atlanta loss and a win by St. Louis would move the Cardinals to within 3.5 games of the Braves for the wild card.

8 p.m., FSN North, STO: Indians at Twins. A Cleveland loss would clinch the NL Central for the Tigers.

10 p.m., FSN Detroit, CSN California: Tigers at Athletics. The Tigers could have already clinched the AL Central by the time they take the field Friday night. Stick around to watch Doug Fister pitch anyway. He's been terrific since he was traded to Detroit.
