Harold Calloway Had A Bad Day
If you were on Twitter on Monday night, you may have heard reports of someone being shot in Lexington, Ky. during the
celebrationriot after Kentucky won the national championship. That man was Harold Calloway. The "good" news is that he was shot in the foot (as opposed to the head, for instance). The bad news is that doctors were forced to amputate the foot. The worse news is that he had an outstanding warrant for drug-related charges in Indiana and will be extradited as soon as he's healthy enough to leave the hospital.
When getting shot in the foot is the best thing that happened to you, it's officially a bad day. But hey, go Wildcats!

PHOTO: Kentucky Puts Their Starting Lineup In Perspective
Courtesy of CBS Sports' Matt Norlander, the whiteboard in Kentucky's locker room Monday:
So, so awesome.
(And to put Kentucky's youth in perspective ... Anthony Davis wasn't even born when the Fab Five were actually freshmen. Good GOD.)

VIDEO: Breaking Down Kentucky's Win
Anthony Davis scored a mere six points, but that was enough to give the Wildcats their eighth national championship. Despite a second-half surge from Kansas, Kentucky held its ground, batting off strong Jayhawks performances from Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor.

VIDEO: Lexington Riots, Drops F-Bombs On Live TV
Fans in Lexington, Ky., celebrated the Kentucky Wildcats' national championship with a predictable mix of alcohol and violence. Within hours of the win, numerous couches were ablaze and several dozen people had been arrested. One (presumably drunk) driver crashed his car into a patio wall of a bar and grill, nearly taking out patrons, while another person was reportedly shot.
It's tough to find humor in all of the destruction, but fortunately not all of the drunken idiocy has been violent. Take, for example, the proudly profane fan in the video after the jump, whose NSFW cameo stunned the TV crew into silence.

VIDEO: Relive March Madness With 'One Shining Moment'
The Kentucky Wildcats withstood a second-half rally to defeat the Kansas Jayhawks 67-59 on Monday night and capture the eighth NCAA title in school history, their first since 1998 and the first in John Calipari's career.
Though this year's tournament lacked many of the thrilling buzzer-beaters of previous years, it certainly wasn't without memorable games -- many of which were featured in CBS' annual "One Shining Moment" montage, which can be viewed after the jump.

NCAA Championship 2012: If Kansas Beats Kentucky, Drew Gooden is Calling His Mom
WASHINGTON — Drew Gooden has an NBA game to play, so he won't be able to watch his alma mater Kansas vs. Kentucky in the 2012 NCAA championship game.
"Kansas is playing tonight?" teammate Jon Brockman deadpanned as Gooden talked about the Jayhawks in the locker room before Bucks vs. Wizards. You get the feeling he might have mentioned them once or twice over the past few weeks.
It's tough sometimes, the NBA life. If your school was in the NCAA title game, you'd plan your whole night around it. Gooden is just going to hop off of a team flight and find out whether or not his school is NCAA champs.
So how's he coping?
