The Murray State Racers will take on the Colorado State Rams on Thursday to tip off the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

The 6-seed Murray Sate Racers were the darlings of college basketball this season, getting out to a 22-0 start and climbing as high as No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings before succumbing to Tennessee State for their only loss of the season. They will try to prove they can hang with the best in the country, tipping off their 2012 NCAA Tournament run with the 10-seed Colorado State Rams on Thursday.

The Rams earned an at-large bid into the Big Dance after losing to the San Diego State Aztecs in the Mountain West Conference Tournament. The hung with the best in their conference during the regular season, however, taking out the SDSU, UNLV and New Mexico at different points. They will have the difficult task of slowing down the Racers' Isaiah Canaan, who is capable of shooting the lights out of the gym in any given outing.

Date/Time: Thursday, 12:15 p.m. ET

Venue: KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, KY

TV: CBS

Announcers: Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery, with Lesley Visser reporting.
