The 2012 NCAA Tournament begins its second round on Thursday. Wichita State and VCU will face off in the afternoon in Portland.

The 2012 NCAA Tournament begins its second round on Thursday, with plenty of games on the day's schedule. The field continues to narrow as the Round of 64 enters its first day.

The first night game at the tournament site in Portland will feature the No. 5 Wichita St. Shockers taking on the No. 12 Va. Commonwealth Rams.The Rams are hoping to once again make some noise as underdogs in the tournament, while Wichita State will be trying to prove they are worthy of their high seeding.

Thursday night's game will tip off at 7:15 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.
