The No. 11 Texas Longhorns played a terrible first half against the No. 6 Cincinnati Bearcats, but somehow they are down by just 14 points after shooting 4-25 from the field (16.0 percent) and committing six turnovers. The Texas box score is a barren wasteland of inefficient play painful zeroes. Only three players have even made a shot so far, and J'Covan Brown's 2-6 performance is the best of anyone on the team. This .gif of a lazy under-handed pass hitting a teammate in the face is the perfect representation of the Longhorn's effort and focus so far.
Cincinnati has grabbed the lead by shooting 40.0 percent and just getting by while Texas beats themselves. Yancy Gates has eight points, and so does Sean Kilpatrick to lead the way for the Bearcats. It's pretty clear they are the higher seed in this matchup, at least through one half of play.
Not sure which is more amazing: That Texas shot 4-for-25, or that they're only trailing Cincinnati 31-17 at the half.
