So much for everyone's sexy upset pick. The Belmont Bruins had absolutely no answer on defense for the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday afternoon. Hollis Thompson was well-contained and had just six points on the day, but the rest of the Hoyas scored in bunches en route to a 74-59 win.
Jason Clark had an absolutely monster game with 21 points on 9-12 shooting. He was aided on the offensive end by Henry Sims, who scored 15 points, and Otto Porter, who scored 16 on 6-7 shooting. Belmont was a solid 10-27 from behind the three-point line, but simply didn't do enough on defense for that to be relevant. Blake Jenkins had a big game with 17 points on 7-11 shooting for Belmont, but they shot just 39 percent as a team.
