Kentucky, the No. 1 overall seed, will face off against No. 8 seeded Iowa State on Saturday evening for the right to move on to the next round.
The No. 1 seeded Kentucky Wildcats put on a show in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, throwing down dunk after dunk against Western Kentucky on their way to an 81-66 victory. The Wildcats looked every bit like the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament in the game dominating in every aspect. The Wildcats, who lost just one game all season, will have a much tougher go of it against the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday, however.
The Cyclones, who earned a No. 8 seed, took down the Connecticut Huskies in dominating fashion late Thursday night. Iowa State would seem to match up well with the Wildcats, but during the regular season struggled against ranked teams, losing to Michigan, Missouri twice, and splitting a matchup with Kansas. If the Cyclones want a shot at the upset, they'll need to slow down Anthony Davis, who put on a dunk show against the Hilltoppers.
Date/Time: Saturday, 7:45 p.m. ET
Venue: KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, KY
