The Ohio State Buckeyes made it through the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but they'll try to avoid the upset against the always troublesome Gonzaga Bulldogs on Saturday.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs took down the West Virginia Mountaineers in an opening round NCAA Tournament victory. Gonzaga, a No. 7 seed, beating the 'Eers wasn't a surprise but the fashion in which they beat them was. The Bulldogs pounded WVU in the first half, taking a 44-20 lead at halftime and then coasted to a 77-54 victory to move on to the next round to take on Ohio State.
The No. 2 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes also cruised to a dominating victory in the first round of the Tournament, taking out No. 15 seed Loyola on Thursday night. The Buckeyes will have to be on their toes against Gonzaga, who always seems to push higher seeded teams in the tournament, often times pulling an upset in the early rounds.
