NCAA Tournament 2012, NC State Vs. Georgetown: TV Schedule, Game Time And More

Georgetown and NC State are both coming off spectacular performances in their opening games and meet each other with a ton of momentum.

The NC State Wolfpack validated their at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament on Friday with a very convincing win over a solid San Diego State team. They face what should represent a step-up in competition in a Georgetown Hoyas team that is coming off an excellent performance. They were put on upset alert by many, but dispatched of Belmont without any problem in their first game.

A very athletic but small SDSU team had trouble dealing with the size of Richard Howell and C.J. Leslie inside. NC State won't have that same kind of major matchup advantage against Georgetown, so they're going to need to make outside shots and make their free throws at a higher clip than they did in the first round.

As good as Georgetown looked, Friday's performance probably wasn't their ceiling. Everyone played very well on the offensive end except for Hollis Thompson, who has nowhere to go but up. If he raises his game while the his teammates maintain their high levels of play, NC State will struggle to find an answer.

Game Date/Time: Sunday, March 18, 12:15 p.m. ET

Venue: Nationwide Arena, Columbus, Ohio

TV: CBS
