John Henson will play for the North Carolina Tar Heels against the Creighton Bluejays, according to David Morrison of the Greensboro News & Record. The junior forward hasn't played since suffering a wrist injury March 9. It isn't clear yet whether he will be in the starting lineup when Sunday's third-round 2012 NCAA Tournament game tips off at 5:30 p.m. ET.
UNC spokesman says F John Henson will play, unclear whether he's going to start. That all depends on warmups.— David Morrison (@DavidCMorrison) March 18, 2012
Henson is averaging 13.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Tar Heels this season. He should provide a major boost offensively and defensively around the rim as UNC vies for another tournament title.
