The action in the 2012 NCAA Tournament's Round of 32 has rolled along into Sunday night. The No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks are facing off with the No. 10 Purdue Boilermakers as both teams attempt to pick up the win and advance to the Sweet 16. At halftime, the Boilermakers are on top by a score of 36-30.
Through the first half of play, the Jayhawks are finding the Boilermakers a much more formidable opponent than they may have anticipated. Purdue held a lead for much of the first half, although Kansas began to battle back as halftime approached, cutting the lead to one point with just over three minutes left in the half. Robbie Hummel sank a very long three-pointer at about the 90-second mark to give him 22 points in the half and extend the Purdue lead back to six.
KU will need to perform much better after the break if they want to remain in the hunt for the national championship.
