NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

Every year there are players who we miss on in the NFL Draft and end up becoming busts. SB Nation's NFL roundtable tries to identify those players by selecting which draft pick is most likely to end up being a bust.

Departing Arkansas Razorbacks receivers Jarius Wright and Greg Childs have been friends and teammates since elementary school. And they still are! Chris Bahn has the story:

Both Wright and Childs were picked in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday by the Minnesota Vikings. Wright went No. 118 to the Vikings and Childs was picked No. 134.

It was a dream they'd discussed, but figured it was too unlikely to actually come true.

"We talked about this one day, what if we end up going to the same NFL team? It would be crazy," Childs told Minnesota media. "We've been together through elementary school, middle school, junior high, high school, same college team, and now we are moving on in life and we still are going to the same team together."

Robert Griffin Is A New York Jet

Congrats to the Jets! Robert Griffin was picked by New York!

Jets coach Rex Ryan joked that he was thrown off by the pick when general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced it.

''There's something where everybody thinks there's a quarterback controversy and all that,'' Ryan said, referring to having both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow on the roster. ''When Tannenbaum said, 'Hey, we just got Robert Griffin from Baylor,' I'm like, 'What?'''

That's Robert T. Griffin, or Big Griff, or RGII, who also hails from Baylor. If you haven't been watching college football, you might've missed out on this fun sidenote to the other Robert Griffin's (III) career.

A Reminder About Undrafted Free Agents

There will be a flurry of activity in the next few hours as NFL teams chase after players who went undrafted. Things get wild, and change in a hurry. And it didn't take long for Colorado quarterback Tyler Hansen to remind us how nuts this whole deal gets.

VIDEO: Mel Kiper Facts!

I don't know why, but this is all kind of amazing. ESPN had about a minute to kill after the end of the draft, so naturally it was time to tee-off on Mel Kiper. You may know some of these facts, or perhaps not, but they're all pretty amazing. And no, they're not about his hair.

First, Mel Kiper just learned to use a computer a few years ago. For someone who makes a living scouting, this is kind of amazing. After all, it's easier to rummage through tapes digitally.

Kiper also doesn't write checks or use cards. You know what that means, right? Straight cash, homey.

VIDEO: Mr. Irrelevant Announcement Kind Of Awkward

So there's a tradition for Mr. Irrelevant, the final pick in the NFL Draft. Each year, Paul Salata announces the pick, and the player chosen with the final selection in the draft is showered with gifts. It's somewhat of a dummy prize, and somewhat cool at the same time. After all, a free trip to Newport Beach isn't bad!

This year got just a little bit awkward. There's usually some semblance of suspense surrounding the Mr. Irrelevant announcement, especially since picking the final round is like throwing darts. It's built up on television and is something to look forward to.

But not so this year! It was whispered right into the mic ahead of time. And then things just got kinda ... odd.

GIF: Just Stare At Quinton Coples' Watch

These ESPN player cards have been pretty amazing so far. Not really for stats or anything else, but for the shots of players mugging for the camera. Some are serious, others are smiling, and Vontaze Burfict even blew a kiss to the camera.

And then there was Quinton Coples. It's not so much his expression, but what he's doing: Pointing over and over to his Carolina blue watch, letting y'all know what time it is.

Stare and be hypnotized.

ANIMATED: Rich Eisen Is As Bored As The Rest Of Us

The 2012 NFL Draft is in its last rounds on Saturday. It's in its third day. The analysts and commentators from ESPN and the NFL Network have been sitting behind their makeshift desks for three days now and there is absolutely no reason to blame them if they're starting to get a little punchy. Lead NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen took a moment to express the absurdity of his -- and our -- situation via the indispensible art of pantomime.

VIDEO: Redskins Officially Introduce Robert Griffin III

On Saturday, while the 2012 NFL Draft was still in full swing, the Washington Redskins held a press conference to officially introduce new quarterback, reigning Heisman Trophy winner and No. 2 overall selection Robert Griffin III. The NFL Network televised the press conference -- kind of.

The 2012 NFL Draft has been exciting, unexpected and full of controversies that are stir to fuel talking points for months to come, among Skip Baylesses both professional and amateur.
