Almost every coach and general manager in the NFL descends upon Indianapolis this week for the 2012 NFL Combine and almost all of those attending will conduct a press conference talking about their team and the 2012 NFL draft. You can see a schedule of the coaches and GMs speaking here, but one that stood out was John Fox.
And why would the Denver Broncos head coach stand out? Because he talked about Tim Tebow, of course. As Mocking The Draft notes, only about half of the questions were Tebow-related. Progress?
A few highlights of what Fox had to say:
- Fox noted that Tebow took them from a 4-12 team to a playoff team, which is a sign they're happy with him.
- The Broncos will add two quarterbacks this offseason as competition for Tebow. He will enter camp as the starter but there will be competition. It's unclear whether that competition will come from free agency or the NFL draft. Either way, Tebow will have someone new competing with him.
- Fox said they still like Brady Quinn, the backup quarterback. That might be the case but most expect the Broncos to move on from Quinn. He's scheduled to be a free agent.
