NFL Combine 2012: Day 3 Arrivals Include Quinton Coples, Whitney Mercilus, Courtney Upshaw

The 2012 NFL Combine rolls right along into Friday's activities in Indianapolis. The third day of the event sees the arrival of three groups of defensive players, some of whom are the very best prospects in the country at their position. These Friday arrivals -- labeled Group 7, Group 8 and Group 9 -- will begin registration and preliminary medical examinations on their first day in town.

Groups 7 and 8 consist of defensive linemen while Group 9 will feature exclusively linebackers.

- Vontaze Burfict, LB, Arizona St. Sun Devils

- Quinton Coples, DL, North Carolina Tar Heels

- Dont'a Hightower, LB, Alabama Crimson Tide

- Melvin Ingram, DL, South Carolina Gamecocks

- Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College Eagles

- Whitney Mercilus, DL, Illinois Fighting Illini

- Dontari Poe, DL, Memphis Tigers

- Devon Still, DL, Penn St. Nittany Lions

- Courtney Upshaw, LB, Alabama Crimson Tide
