Robert Griffin III Won't Throw At Combine; Interviewing With Multiple Teams

Stay connected with SB Nation

Robert Griffin III arrived in Indianapolis for his media session at the 2012 NFL Combine and confirmed previous reports that he will not throw while he's here. Griffin III said he isn't comfortable throwing to receivers he doesn't know and instead will hold a workout in March for NFL teams.

This is usually what the top quarterbacks in the draft do. At the Combine he would be throwing to receivers he's not familiar with, which could reflect negatively on his abilities. Instead, Griffin III will throw to former teammates at Baylor's pro day.

Griffin III also said he met with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night and on Friday night will interview with the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. Every team can interview up to 60 prospects for 15 minutes apiece. The Browns are believed to be one of the teams most interested in him. He has not met with the Indianapolis Colts.

Griffin III is an impressive person to listen to. His press conference was described as "beyond stellar" by one in attendance.
