David Wilson was one of the top running back prospects heading into the NFL combine and was labeled as a potential first-round pick. Though his 40-yard dash time was not stunning, it was certainly above average and in line with what he was expected to do. His performance in some of the other drills was extremely impressive, however. In the 20-yard shuttle, 60-yard shuttle, vertical jump and broad jump, he was among the combine's top performers at the running back position.
SB Nation's NFL Draft blog Mocking The Draft currently has Wilson as the No. 25 overall player on their board. He could go off the board near the bottom of the first round of the draft, where the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers are among the teams that could conceivably take a running back if they felt the player was a good fit.
