Josh Robinson's 40-Yard Dash Lights Up NFL Combine

Stay connected with SB Nation

Ever heard of Josh Robinson? Unless you're a NFL Draft geek, chances are you haven't. After the University of Central Florida cornerback clocked the fastest time in the 40 at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, that's likely to change.

Robinson turned in a blazing time of 4.33, just edging out LSU cornerback Ron Brooks who clocked in at 4.37. They were the only two players to break the 4.4 mark and only 2 of 9 to be clocked in better than 4.50.

So, who is Josh Robinson? Well, he's not someone SB Nation has picked as going in the first round of our Mock Draft. Mocking The Draft doesn't even have him ranked in their Top 100 draft prospects and has him as the 17th best prospect at cornerback.

In three years at Central Florida, Robinson posted solid, but unspectacular numbers. After making six interceptions his freshman year, he had a total of four during his final two years. He did make 48 tackles and break up 15 passes his junior year and at 5-foot-10, 192 pounds seems to have the kind of size that would translate to the NFL. It will be interesting to see how his combine performance affects his stock.
