Missouri Pro Day Attracts 16 NFL Teams

Stay connected with SB Nation

Tight end Michael Egnew is among the 16 Missouri players who will be participating in Thursday's Pro Day.

There won't be any likely first round picks at Missouri's Pro Day this year, but that hasn't done much to scare off NFL teams. Half of the NFL's 32 teams are expected to be in attendance on Thursday to see the likes of tight end Michael Egnew, defensive tackle Dominique Hamilton, wide receiver Jerrell Jackson and defensive end/linebacker Jacquies Smith (via StlToday.com). Among the teams that are expected to be in attendance are the St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons.

The highest-level prospect in the group of 16 Tigers that will be participating is probably Egnew, who most seem to think is a mid-round selection. Egnew is a 6-foot-6, 245-pound tight end who had some impressive numbers in 2010 when Blaine Gabbert was throwing him passes. That year, he made 90 catches for 762 yards and five touchdowns. Last year, he dropped off to 50 catches, 523 yards and three touchdowns.
