Ryan Tannehill On Pro Day: 'It Was A Good Day'

The 2012 NFL Draft is just a month away. While the lion's share of the attention in the draft is going to quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, former Texas A&M Aggies QB Ryan Tannehill has been flying under the radar. That may be changing following his Pro Day on Thursday.

According to Charean Williams at Cowboys Corner, Tannehill had a strong showing in his workout, which drew 60 scouts from 22 NFL teams. Tannehill had been unable to compete at the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis due to a stress fracture in his right foot, but showed no signs of being hampered by the injury on Thursday.

Tannehill completed 65 of 68 passes, which included two dropped balls. He also ran a 4.62 time in the 40-yard dash.

"I felt good," said Tannehill ... "The foot felt great, moving in the pocket, escaping; the ball was coming out good, and the guys were making plays for me. It was a good day."

Among the teams who sent representatives to the workout were the Miami Dolphins and the Cleveland Browns.

Ryan Tannehill's Pro Day Brings In 20 NFL Teams, Including Browns And Seahawks

The 2012 NFL draft is a month away and there's plenty of intrigue surrounding Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, who is widely considered the third best quarterback in the draft. He suffered a broken foot in January so he hasn't worked out for NFL scouts -- until Thursday's pro day, that is.

Tannehill's pro day at Texas A&M has attracted 20 NFL teams, including Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress and Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. The Browns are picking fourth in next month's NFL draft and some think they could pull the trigger on Tannehill at that spot. The Seahawks acquired Matt Flynn in free agency on a three-year contract.

Tannehill has only been a starter for a season and half so there are still question marks with him. He'll be the third quarterback off the board behind Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, possibly as high as the top 10, or even the top five.
