Many colleges are holding an Pro Day in March. These player workouts offer NFL scouts and evaluators to get one last first-hand look at prospects prior to the 2012 NFL Draft. It also offers an opportunity for players to improve upon their performances at the NFL Combine, or to get a look and impress if they weren't invited to Indianapolis this year. The Oklahoma St. Cowboys held their Pro Day on Friday.
A staff report at NewsOK informs us that Cowboys wide receiver Justin Blackmon, a projected Top-10 pick in this year's draft, took part in the Pro Day. Blackmon did not run a 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, which raised eyebrows with some. It appears as though he did participate in the 40-yard dash during the Pro Day, however, unofficially clocking it at around 4.4 seconds.
This seems to be right in line with his evaluation and should eliminate any doubt about his Top-10 draft pick value.
