The 2012 NFL Draft is just a couple of weeks away. One of the top prospects drawing a lot of attention prior to the draft is former Memphis Tigers defensive tackle Dontari Poe, who is expected to be one of the elite defensive linemen in this year's crop of draftees.

According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Poe has already met with several NFL teams who wanted to get a chance to spend some one-on-one time with the player. Poe opted to stand by his exemplary numbers in the 2012 NFL Combine rather than participate at Memphis' pro day on March 22. It appears he is correct in that no further demonstration of his ability is needed, as he has had meetings with the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Panthers hold the No. 9 overall pick in the draft. It is possible they could snatch up Poe before any other teams have a chance.
