2012 NFL Draft Results: Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd Selected By Arizona Cardinals With The 13th Pick

Stay connected with SB Nation

On Friday, the Arizona Cardinals selected former Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver Michael Floyd as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

Floyd was considered to be the No. 9 overall player in this year's draft, according to our analysts at Mocking the Draft, and the second-best wide receiver prospect, behind only Justin Blackmon.

Floyd had his most impressive year to date in 2011, straightening out his character issues and showing improvement both with his conditioning and in his pass-catching consistency. At 6-foot-3 and 224 pounds, Floyd's size is considered ideal for a wideout in the NFL. He displays good body control and quickness, as well as great field awareness.
