On Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs selected former Memphis Tigers defensive tackle Dontari Poe with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Poe was projected to be selected in the middle of the first round and was ranked as the No. 5 defensive tackle in this year's draft, according to Mocking the Draft.

Poe is expected to need very little work to become NFL-ready. He needs to improve on the pass rush but is incredibly impressive when stuffing runs. He is incredibly strong, with good hands.

In his collegiate career, Poe put up 101 total tackles, 57 of which were unassisted. He also had five sacks and four forced fumbles.
