With the 32nd pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the New York Giants selected Virginia Tech Hokies running back David Wilson. Wilson is the 24th-rated prospect in the draft and the second-rated running back, according to Mocking The Draft's rankings.

Wilson had a spectacular 2011 for the Hokies, rushing for 1,709 yards on 290 carries, scoring nine touchdowns. He also had 22 receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown. Here's what Mocking The Draft had to say about Wilson before the draft.

Wilson is a hot and cold runner. He'll break a 10-yard run, but follow it up by negative-yardage plays. Because of that, the speedy Virginia Tech runner may be best served as part of a rotation or duo.

With Wilson being the final pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, it wraps up the quickest first night of the draft in quite some time.
