NFL Draft 2012: Nearly Impossible To Predict Saints First Pick

Stay connected with SB Nation

The New Orleans Saints don't have a first round pick in the 2012 NFL draft due to a draft day trade back in the 2011 NFL draft. They don't have a second round pick due to the bounty scandal, which means they're not picking until day two of the NFL draft.

SB Nation's Saints blog, Canal Street Chronicles, says, because of that, it's nearly impossible to predict who the Saints first pick will be.

The Saints are in the unique position of not having a draft pick until the third round. That being the case, I think it's nearly impossible and a bit silly to think I can predict who the team will take that late. But I will say I think the Saints will probably attempt to target a cornerback, or at least a defensive back.
