With the 64th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Clemson Tigers tight end Dwayne Allen. Allen is the top-rated tight end in the draft and the No. 30 overall prospect in the field, according to Mocking the Draft's rankings.

Allen was a three-year starter for Clemson, and he had what was easily his best year in 2011. His 49 receptions, 592 yards, 12.1 yards per reception and eight touchdowns were all career highs. Here's what Mocking the Draft had to say about Allen before the draft.

Following a junior season of 50 receptions and eight touchdowns, Allen turned pro. He doesn't have the size, speed or athleticism of Stanford's Coby Fleener, but he's a better all-around tight end. He's a good blocker, in line and on the move, makes spectacular catches and has good on-field speed.

Allen joins first rounder QB Andrew Luck and second rounder TE Coby Fleener with the Colts.
