With the 52nd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected North Carolina Tar Heels outside linebacker Zach Brown. Brown is the 47th rated prospect in the draft and the third-rated outside linebacker, according to Mocking The Draft's rankings.
In the first round, the Titans picked up Kendall Wright to bolster their receiving corps.
Brown had an extremely productive senior season for UNC with 105 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks and three interceptions. Here's what Mocking The Draft had to say about Brown before the draft.
Brown has an excellent first step to get to the edge in a hurry. Elite speed for the position and most ball carriers won't be able to pull away in the open field. Will be attractive for a team looking for a linebacker who can cover athletic tight ends. Has covered the slot receiver at times. Good hands.
