2012 NFL Draft Best Available: Defensive Line Still Stocked With Talent

Stay connected with SB Nation

Plenty of defensive linemen flew off the board in the 1st round of the 2012 NFL Draft, but lots of talent is still available for rounds 2 and 3 on Friday thanks to an especially deep class this year. Included among the names are Mocking The Draft's best two players available, Alabama outside linebacker/defensive end Courtney Upshaw and Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still.

Both players were projected by many to land in the mid-to-late 1st round. Instead, they will be regarded as very good value picks for whatever team is lucky enough land them. Upshaw was rated as the 11th best prospect in the draft, and the best at his position. Still is the 13th-ranked overall prospect, and best defensive tackle in the draft according to MTD.

Clemson defensive tackle Brandon Thompson also graded out very high (23rd overall), and Andre Branch and Vinny Curry are considered the best pure defensive ends still on the board. Michigan State DT Jerel Worthy is rated as the 46th-best prospect available, and is also expected to be drafted Friday evening.

Check out the complete list of best players available at Mocking The Draft.
