The New York Giants picked Virginia Tech cornerback Jayron Hosely with the 31st pick in the third round, pick number 94 overall. He joins a Big Blue draft class that features running back David Wilson, also from Virginia Tech, and receiver Rueben Randle of LSU.
The Oakland Raiders made their first pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, a compensatory selection awarded to them for free agent losses in 2011. They gave their other picks to Cincinnati in the Carson Palmer deal. And with their first pick in the draft, the 95th overall selection, the Raiders picked Utah offensive tackle Tony Bergstrom. He should help keep Palmer upright in 2012.
