The first five picks of the 4th round of the 2012 NFL Draft are in. The St. Louis Rams kicked off Saturday by selecting Chris Givens out of Wake Forest with the No. 96 overall pick of the draft. Givens is the second wide receiver selected by the Rams. The speedy Givens should serve as a nice complement to the 6'4 Brian Quick picked in the 2nd round.
The Miami Dolphins moved up in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 97 overall pick. They selected Miami running back Lamar Miller, who was considered the best prospect still available according to Mocking The Draft.
96. St. Louis Rams: Wake Forest WR Chris Givens, 5'11, 198 pounds
97. Miami Dolphins (trade with 49ers): Miami RB Lamar Miller, 5'11, 211 pounds
He has the playing strength, agility, vision, and competitiveness to be a very good starting running back in the NFL. He is a big play waiting to happen every time he touches the ball because of his speed and superior burst. If he gets more opportunities in the passing game at the next level he would be dynamic with a team that uses a one back system. He also has kick return experience and is very dangerous in the open field.
98. Baltimore Ravens: Delaware G Gino Gradkowski, 6'3, 300 pounds
99. Houston Texans: Georgia C Ben Jones, 6'2, 303 pounds
Strengths: Jones is a smart, experienced lineman who comes from a pro-style scheme. Is excellent at moving straight forward to the second level to locate and finish off linebackers. Is often the first person off the line of scrimmage.
Weaknesses: Struggles at times to anchor his position at the line of scrimmage against the bull rush. Wasn't used often to pull or trap. Despite being able to get to the second level, Jones struggles to change direction in open space.
100. Cleveland Browns: Miami WR Travis Benjamin, 5'10, 172 pounds
