The Pittsburgh Steelers traded up in the 2012 NFL Draft to select Washington nose tackle Alameda Ta'Amu, a player many people considered to be a second round talent. This is terrific value for the Steelers, who have been seeking a replacement for Casey Hampton.
The Steelers traded with the Washington Redskins from pick No. 119 to 109.
The Steelers could've taken Ta'Amu in the third round and there would not have been any complaints. Pittsburgh is one of the best drafting teams in the NFL so it won't surprise me one bit if this pick works out well.
