2012 NFL Draft Results: Colts Close Out The 5th Round

The 5th round of the 2012 NFL Draft is over. Three of the final five picks in the 5th round belonged to the AFC North, including two belonging to the Bengals who have taken in a big haul of draft picks this week. Cincinnati added another receiver, using the 166th pick on Marvin Jones from Cal.

The last pick in the round belonged to the Colts, a compensatory pick that they used on Mississippi State's Vick Ballard, a running back.

166. Cincinnati Bengals: California WR Marvin Jones, 6'1", 199 pounds

167. Cincinnati Bengals: Boise State FS George Iloka, 6'4", 225 poiunds

Mocking The Draft On Iloka:

Strengths: Is the biggest defensive back in this year's class and has long arms (a wing span of more than 81 inches). Can cover a lot of ground in a hurry. Has decent playing speed, but is fast and quick enough to stick with tight ends. Has played cornerback who can move around fairly well. Experienced. Started 45 games, playing in 53. Incredible athlete. Had a vertical jump of 38 inches.

Weaknesses: Takes poor angles in zone coverage and will be late to the ball. Isn't as big of a hitter as you'd expect from someone his size. Coaches may want to amp up his aggressiveness. Tackling will sometimes be an issue for Iloka. He doesn't always wrap and drive through the ball carrier. Doesn't have the best body control. Struggles to make a play on the ball in the air when he's out of place.

168. Oakland Raiders: Arizona WR Juron Criner, 6'3" 224 pounds

169. Baltimore Ravens: Cal Poly CB Asa Jackson, 5'10", 191 pounds

170: Indianapolis Colts: Mississippi State RB Vick Ballard, 5'10", 219 pounds
