Quinton Coples Visiting St. Louis Rams

Stay connected with SB Nation

North Carolina defensive lineman Quiton Coples is expected to be a top 10 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by most experts, so his visits with NFL teams picking in the top 10 are starting to begin. The schedule for Coples includes a visit with the St. Louis Rams, who currently hold the No. 6 pick, according to a report by Adam Caplan.

The Rams have been looking for pieces to add to their defense at both defensive end and defensive tackle. Coples would seem like a fit because he has the ability to play defensive tackle and both defensive end positions in the NFL, and is a similar player to a player the Rams flirted with in free agency in Jason Jones, a player that new head coach Jeff Fisher is very familiar with.
