The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with Courtney Upshaw, the team's first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Ravens moved out of the 1st round and selected him in the 2nd round with the 35th overall pick, a solid value for a player they very well may have selected in the 1st round anyway.
No word on the terms of the contract, but the league's rookie wage scale doesn't leave a ton of room for negotiation, which is why the contracts are flowing in much earlier this year.
On the day they drafted him, the Ravens probably didn't figure he would be as significant of a player as he'll end up being. Terrell Suggs suffered an Achilles' injury which could keep him out for part of the 2012 season, which means Upshaw could be a major part of the Ravens plans this season.
The Ravens have one remaining draft pick unsigned, 6th round pick Tommy Streeter.
