Stay connected with SB Nation

The Pittsburgh Steelers clearly went into the 2012 NFL Draft with a game plan: beef up their offensive line. They came away having done just that, using their first two draft picks to select a guard and an offensive tackle, respectively.

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers have come to terms with their second-round draft pick, Mike Adams.

Adams was formerly an offensive tackle with the Ohio State Buckeyes and began his college career as a five-star recruit out of Ohio who was considered the top player at his position from the class of 2008. Adams stands 6'7 and weighed in at 323 pounds at the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. He was named all-Big Ten as a junior on 2010 and was named to the second team following last season. He won the Jim Parker award at OSU as the top offensive lineman for the Buckeyes in 2011.
